City of Seattle Council’s Chamber, 2nd floor, Seattle City Hall, 600 Fourth Avenue. It’s not obvious from the public meeting announcement, but this hearing is also related to the possible location of a new waste transfer facility. Previous hearings had resulted in the selection of a Georgetown location, rather than the Harbor Island location originally proposed. This study now includes additional strategies for increasing recycling and proposes new waste reduction programs. The report also evaluates several options for upgrading the existing waste transfer stations and will still address construction of a new station.
