Sustainable West Seattle's (SWS) October monthly meeting will feature
a forum with both pro and con voices on the Regional Transportation
Improvement District (RTID) proposal (Proposition 1) for this
November's election. Come decide for yourself whether this $19
Billion proposal is a good use of our taxes. Sustainable West Seattle
meets at Camp Long in the main lodge, October 15, from 7 to 9 pm.
SWS is a group of local residents committed to creating a
sustainable community through education and advocacy of urban
sustainability. SWS has five action groups that explore and practice
elements of sustainability in energy & conservation, food & health,
water & waste, transportation, and green building methods and
practices. Rob Johnson from Transportation Choices Coalition will
represent the "pro" side, the Sierra Club will represent the "con" side.
