Seattle Bicycle Master Plan to be released PDF Print E-mail

This is fun! All sorts of ways to get information about what the city is proposing. In this case, it's a preview of supposedly leaked documents of the "almost complete" Bicycle Master Plan. For Morgan Junction, it looks like they are proposing a bike lane on 48th Ave SW up to Erskine, Fauntleroy Way up to the Junction, and on 35th Ave SW - which also has been flagged for more intensive study. California Ave SW has a proposed "sharrow" a way of marking to share the road. Sylvan Way has both a sharrow and then a bike lane on the steep downhill portion. Here's the leaked version, http://www.thestranger.com/blog/2006/11/leaked_bicycle_maste.php, and when the real version is released by the city, I'll send that out as well.
If you want to attend the two public meetings which will roll out the official versions, they are at:

Tuesday, 12-5-06
Odd Fellows' Temple in downtown Ballard
1706 NW Market St
6:30-9:00 pm

Thursday, 12-7-06
Rainier Community Center
4600 38th Ave S
6:30-9:00 pm
